Tech giant tries to define the future of gaming

South Korea’s Samsung Electronics announced on July 27 that it had introduced the Odyssey Neo G9 with the aim of defining the future of gaming.

The Seoul-based company said that the game monitor, with a model name G95NA, is equipped with Quantum Mini LED technology.

The Odyssey Neo G9 joins the Odyssey lineup, taking gaming to the next level with Quantum Matrix technology, supported by Quantum Mini LED display and Quantum HDR 2000 for an immersive gaming experience, according to Samsung Electronics.

The tech giant added that with the previous launch of the Odyssey G9 in 2020, it had pushed the boundaries of premium gaming monitors with smooth and brilliant picture quality.

With the industry’s first Quantum Mini LED curved display delivering the most refined detail regardless of the game played, Samsung hopes that the Odyssey Neo G9 is catapulting the gaming monitor category forward.

“Samsung addressed the demands and expectations of even the most demanding gamers with the launch of the groundbreaking Odyssey gaming monitor portfolio last year,” Samsung Senior Vice President Na Hye-sung said.

“With the introduction of the Odyssey Neo G9, equipped with Quantum Mini LED displays, we are excited to offer a state-of-the-art gaming experience to our customers and demonstrate our continued leadership in the market.”

Samsung Electronics is the world’s largest manufacturer of memory chips, mobile phones, and flat-panel displays.

To diversify its business portfolio, the company also has worked in various business sectors, such as gaming devices.
