Tae-hyung discloses his father's photo

Members of K-pop megastar BTS have trended across the globe for the past several years. The seven-member idol group was the most re-tweeted celebrities in 2017 and 2018.

On June 29, BTS member V trended around the world because of a photo he uploaded onto the band’s Twitter. What is interesting is that the picture is not his, but that of his father.

V, whose real name is Kim Tae-hyung, captioned the tweet, “He looks precisely like his father.” Many responded that they look like a twin.

Then, BTS fans started to thank V’s father for having passed on good genes to V, the 23-year-old who was voted as the most handsome man in the world many times.

“Tae-hyung’s dad! I hope you know your son is our pride. We love him so much. Your good upbringing reflects so brightly on Tae-hyung. Thank you for bringing him into our lives,” a fan wrote.

“Thank you for supporting your son. Thank you for following me to be a part of giving you life. ARMY is very grateful to you. Thank you for accompanying him that day to audition and help him fulfill that dream more than just being a farmer,” another fan wrote.

In fact, V and his dad is known as the sweetest bond.

Like his father, V initially wanted to be a farmer. But his father encouraged him to learn an instrument so that V took up the saxophone.

His father also supported him to participate in an audition of BigHit Entertainment, which debuted the boy band in 2013.

Short for Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth, ARMY is loyal fans of BTS.

Of note is that V hates his father in many BTS music videos. In the “I Need You” music video, he even kills his father, an alcoholic who abuses his elder sister.

This prompted rumors that V is not close to his father. But that is simply not the case.
