American actor hopes to dance for K-pop band
American actor Wesley Snipes has something to do with Korea. He has been married to Park Na-kyung, a Korean painter and artist, since 2003 to have four children together.
The Hollywood star seemingly strives to add one more connection to Korea with regard to K-pop superstar BTS, who gains popularity across the world.
At a press conference this week timed with a martial arts and action film festival in Korea, Wesley Snipes was asked about his career.
He half-jokingly talked about his post-retirement plan, saying, “After I finish my career as an actor, I’ll fulfill my dream as a backup dancer for BTS.”
He also said that he would take part in an audition held by BTS to bring laughter.
Wesley Snipes currently stays at his wife’s motherland to appear as an award presenter for the film festival, which started on Aug. 29 and will continue through Sept. 2.
Otherwise known as the Bangtan Boys, BTS is a seven-piece boy band, which debuted in 2013.
The Seoul-based idol group released its fourth studio album “Map of the Soul: Persona” this April. After that, the septet went through a globe-trotting concert tour, which compassed three U.S. cities, Sao Paulo, London, and Paris.
The band is now on an extended vacation for the first time since 2013. The world’s biggest boy group is expected to come back in October when they are scheduled to perform in Saudi Arabia.
