Suga, Jungkook manage to shake off rumors

To remain popular for a long time, entertainers need the ability to survive a scandal. That is especially the case for an idol group like the world’s biggest boy group BTS.

Since its debut in 2013, the K-pop act has been relatively free from scandals, but there were some dating rumors involving BTS members of Suga and Jungkook.

In early 2018, rumors circulated that Suga was dating with Suran, a singer-songwriter and producer, after the latter uploaded a post on Instagram with such a controversial phrase like “S loves S.”

The post prompted many to suspect that the two are in a romantic relationship. In particular, Suga produced her 2017 hit “Wine.”

Big Hit Entertainment, the agency of BTS, instantly denied the rumors and Suran eventually clarified them and apologized.

Earlier this month, Suga’s bandmate Jungkook was at the center of speculation about his love life.

The youngest member of BTS was caught up in rumors that he dated a woman on Geoje Island, which is located on the southeastern tip of the Korean Peninsula.

The rumors began after CCTV pictures showed someone who looked like the 22-year-old artist hugged a woman at karaoke on the island.

Big Hit admitted that Jungkook traveled around Geoje during the band’s first extended break over the past month.

However, the Seoul-based label responded that the claims regarding Jungkook are not true. It even threatened to take legal action against those who came up with the rumors.

Big Hit said that Jungkook found out his friends were on the island, too. Hence, they met for a meal and had a karaoke session, and that’s it.

It seems that such rumors have not affected the seven-piece boy member that much. After its first long vacation, BTS is currently back at work.

BTS recently announced its tour dates, including performances in Saudi Arabia early next month.
