The ordnance bomb disposal unit has defused on Tuesday evening after a large-scale evacuation action in Düsseldorf, a bomb from the Second world war. The city stated in a message from Tuesday night.
After the discovery of the American Ten-ton bomb in the district of Rath, around 7000 people had to nearby their homes and workplaces leave. A nursing home was affected.
In an outer Radius and more than 11,000 people were invited to stay in closed rooms. The air and rail traffic was temporarily suspended.
