"Let’s have big party at Korea’s Demilitarized Zone"

What do we want to see most in the Korean Peninsula in the New Year? People would come up with various answers, and famed investor Jim Rogers said that it’s a big party at the 38th Parallel that divides the two Koreas.

The founder of the Quantum Fund made the remarks in a recent interview with E-Trend, a YouTube channel focusing on economic and stock market news.

“Hanbando is going to be the single-most exciting place in the world for the 10 to 20 years, once the 38th Parallel opens. I hope you will do it soon,” he said. Hanbando refers to the Korean Peninsula.

“Let’s have a K-pop concert in the 38th Parallel,” he said. “We will have a big party. We don’t have to worry about killing each other, and you both will have a lot of money to spend going forward.”

Asked if he is ready to visit Korea when the two Koreas hold a BTS concert at the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) after reunification, he responded positively.

The DMZ is located on the 38th Parallel to separate the two Koreas, which are still technically at war because the Korean War finished by not a peace treaty but an armistice.

“I hope so, I hope I can get a ticket, you have to get me a ticket,” he said while recommending to invite the Rolling Stones, too, for a very big international party.

BTS is South Korea’s seven-piece boy group that gains global popularity. Daughters of Rogers are also known as fans of the famous K-pop act that debuted in 2013 in Seoul.

The Rolling Stones are an English rock band formed in London in 1962.
