German behemoth will host tech panels in Las Vegas
The world’s top-tier technology and science company Merck announced on Dec. 23 that it would take part in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020 in Las Vegas.Merck said that it would host several “tech talks” with its annual executives, industry experts, and partners on Jan. 6 and 7 at the trade show.Through the sessions, Merck is scheduled to deal with such futuristic technologies as next-generation computing, metaverse, data analytics/sharing, bioelectronics, and smart antenna broadband connectivity.The German tech giant recently disclosed its investment plan of more than 3 billion euros in innovation and capacity in its electronics business.Kai Beckmann, a member of the Executive Board of Merck and CEO Electronics, noted that the firm would push the boundaries of science and technology to make more exciting consumer applications possible.“Electronics starts with us. Together with our customers, we contribute significantly to the electronics industry and beyond through our materials and solutions,” he said.“We accelerate the development of technologies that facilitate and enrich everyday life. This is how we create a sustainable digital world of tomorrow.”This year, more than 2,100 corporations from across the globe are set to showcase the latest in digital health, automotive tech, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), gaming, and smart home.The annual event, which was first held in 1967, will take place over Jan. 5 and 8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.Merck’s tech talk will take place at the EMD Electronics Booth 8907 at the Las Vegas Convention North Hall.On Jan. 6, the outfit will discuss “digital optics and metaverse – the demise of the square screen (10:30 a.m. Pacific Standard Time)” and “data as a change changer for manufacturing excellence (12:00 noon).”The next day’s topics will be “the race to the future computing paradigm (10:30 a.m.)” and “smart antenna satellite broadband connectivity – a solution for the digital divide (12:00 noon).”키워드
