Able C&C launches new brand, multi-shop

Korea’s top-tier cosmetics maker Able C&C, which owns the Missha brand, strives to expand its business horizon by launching a premium brand and open multi-shops.

Last month, the Seoul-based company introduced its new premium brand, TR, short for Time Revolution, based on its technological edges in makeup and skincare.

It debuted at Lotte Homeshopping on June 20.

The first product under the TR brand is the “Double Ampoule Cushion Foundation,” a new-concept product that includes an elasticity ampoule in a cushion together with a brightening ampoule in the puff applicator.

Famous actress Yum Jung-ah is promoting the high-end product, which is made of patented materials.

“On the back of our technological prowess and know-how in skincare, we are launching the premium brand TR on the home shopping market,” Able C&C Chief Marketing Officer Gina Yu said.

“We will channel all our resources and efforts into enabling customers to experience the outstanding effects of our new products.”

Multi-shop 'NUNC'

Able C&C also launched its multi-brand shop “NUNC” on June 14, opening its first store near Ewha Womans University in western Seoul.

On top of the first store, the company opened four more NUNC branches last month, and will expand the number to 20 this month. The online shop came to town on June 21.

Around 3,000 products from 150 global brands such as Shiseido, Hada Labo, and Canmake are available at the NUNC store, on top of its own Missha, A’Pieu and Mefactory brands.

Able C&C said that the new multi-shop’s name demonstrates the company’s brand philosophy of trying to make every moment special and precious for each customer. NUNC means the literal “now” in Latin.

It noted that people will be able to get trending cosmetics brands at NUNC shops where classic, pop, and indie brands are all on display together.

“As NUNC deals with classic best-selling products and unique new items, we are sure that the store will win the hearts and minds of our customers. We hope they will all have satisfactory experiences,” Able C&C Chief Strategy Officer Park Hyun-jin said.

Able C&C is one of the top cosmetics manufacturers in Asia’s fourth-largest economy, and operates such well-known brands as Missha, A’Pieu, and Mefactory.
