Nearly 1,000 police officers from England and Scotland to prepare for a possible use in Northern Ireland. It should come to a disorderly Brexit, fear the authorities are obviously massive problems on the border between British Northern Ireland and the EU Ireland, as the “Guardian” reported. Specifically, it is the worry that it could come as a result of agreement for a hard border between Ireland and Northern Ireland unrest.
The chief of the police of Northern Ireland (PSNI) have asked, therefore, for the case of No-Brexit Deals to personnel. According to the paper, the Training for the English and Scottish officials should begin already in this month.
For the Training, the officials must be deducted according to the report of their regular duties. The training was necessary because some of the in Northern Ireland, used equipment and tactics differ from those in the rest of the UK. The security authorities plan thus strengthening controls throughout the Kingdom, in the case of a disorderly exit from the EU.
A chaotic Brexit is considered to be not unlikely. Most recently, the Irish government had stated that there was a need for this in such a case, hundreds of millions of euros in aid from the EU. The UK is the main market for Irish food.
The British Parliament is to vote on withdrawal in the third week of January on the Brussels negotiated contract over the EU. The Deal will be rejected – what it looks like so far, is in danger of on 29. March an unregulated retirement. Thousands of rules for cross-border trade and traffic between the UK and the EU would abruptly be invalid. Border controls would have to be introduced.
Brexit-the Minister warns of a second Referendum
a Few days before the vote in the British house of Commons about the EU exit of the contract Brexit-Minister Stephen Barclay warned of the risks of a second referendum. “A second Referendum would trigger even more disagreement. The current level in the UK is torn, would be small compared to the voltages that would cause a second vote. It would divide our Nation,” said Barclay in an interview with the “world” and other European Newspapers, according to the preliminary report.
A second Referendum was also a time before the European elections end of may to implement. “Before the elections to the European Parliament, a Referendum can not take place. But then would have to take place in the UK European elections. What is the meaning of a huge democratic failure, because the citizens have voted for the exit, but now the end of may, yet again to choose. Also, our European colleagues may have no interest in it, because that would trigger a very populist response.”
In the coming week is going to London to start a large-scale information campaign, so that citizens and businesses are preparing for the worst case. “We want to implement the Deal and I’m sure we can drag Parliament on our side. This is quite clearly the priority of our government. But at the same time, we also know that there are only twelve weeks until the leaving date”, Barclay.
