Korean outfit strives to support kids in Seoul
South Kora’s Sampyo Group announced on March 6 that the outfit had donated satchels and school supplies to needy children in Seoul in time with the new semester.The donated ones would be provided to a total of 21 students in the northeastern area of Seoul through the Child Fund Korea, a non-government organization.Sampyo Group said that the conglomerate had decided to make the contribution to support underprivileged students struggling to purchase school supplies.Along with the school supplies, Sampyo Group employees offered affectionate messages to encourage their recipients to focus on their studies.In South Korea, the year’s first semester starts in March, unlike the United States or the United Kingdom.“We are striving to back the first step of children, who start their study despite their difficult situations,” said Yoo Yong-jae, who takes charge of corporate social responsibility activities at Sampyo.“We will continue to offer helping hands so that needy children will be able to grow up in healthy and righteous ways.”Sampyo Group is a Korean manufacturer of construction materials.
