New devices will come up with iconic purple heart design

Samsung Electronics on June 15 took the wraps off the BTS-themed smartphones, dubbed the Galaxy S20+ BTS Edition, to attract global fans of the seven-piece K-pop superstar.

The Seoul-based company also said that the Galaxy Buds+ BTS Edition will also hit the shelf from July 9, the seventh anniversary of the septet’s fan collective called ARMY (Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth).

“The new design of the Galaxy S20+ BTS Edition features a purple glass and metal exterior,” Samsung said in a statement. Purple is a special color for BTS.

“The device comes with decorative stickers to allow fans to further personalize their devices, and photo cards featuring pictures of the band members for fans to keep.

Samsung added that the devices will carry the idol group’s logo and purple heart iconography, allowing fans to show their devotion via their smartphones and wearables.

People can make pre-order purchases late this month before the products hit the market on July 9.

BTS is South Korea’s boy band, which is arguably the most popular in the world.

“Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy Buds+ BTS Edition are the result of a collaboration between BTS, whose members spread messages of love and harmony through music, and Samsung, which is creating a better future with meaningful innovation,” Samsung said in a statement.

“We hope it will be a source of joy and entertainment for fans and consumers around the world.”
