Korea-US joint venture offers various benefits to customers

Shinsegae Simon celebrates its 15th anniversary by hosting a set of events aimed at offering various benefits to its customers at its four premium outlets in South Korea.

The Korea-U.S. joint venture said on June 11 that it will carry out a series of events from June 12 through June 21.

All four outlets will offer discounts on their products during the 10-day event. Customers will also be able to get many free gifts depending on their purchase.

For example, those who buy products worth more than 100,000 won a day will have a chance to win Apple Air Pod or concert tickets. The winners will be picked through a draw.

“Over the past 15 years, we have put forth great efforts to become an authentic premium outlet. Toward that ends, we have tried to provide differentiated experiences,” a Shinsegae Simon official said.

“We have introduced luxury brands to our Yeoju outlet. Our Paju outlet also went through refurbishment last year to become one of the biggest shopping places near Seoul.”

In 2005, South Korea’s top retail conglomerate Shinsegae Group and Simon Property Group, the leading real estate company in the United States, joined hands to set up Shinsegae Simon.

The outfit, which is led by CEO Cho Chang-hyun, opened its first outlet in Yeoju near Seoul in 2007. It also launched two outlets in Paju and Siheung in 2011 and 2017, respectively.

Shinsegae Simon’s Busan outlet started in 2013. Busan is South Korea’s No. 2 city located in the country’s southeastern area.
