Event will continue through January, 2021

NH Investment & Securities said February 14 that the top-tier brokerage house will extend its customer event of exempting fees for new customers through next January.

The Seoul-based outfit said that new subscribers to its dedicated site (www.mynamuh.com) will not be charged with a fee for buying and selling stocks of domestic companies.

NH joins the list of Korean corporations, which are trying to drawing investors amid the economic woes caused by the COVID-19 novel coronavirus.

The brokerage decided to extend the period of the event, which attracted so many participants.

“This is the first kind of event for securities companies. We will continue to come up with new services for our clients,” an NH official said.

NH Investment was launched in 2006 when Sejong Securities was incorporated into the National Agricultural Cooperate Federation, otherwise known as Nonghyup.

Currently, CEO Jeong Young-chae heads the outfit, whose largest shareholder is NH Financial Group. Its stake is 76.09 percent.
